Welcome Back to Term 1 2012 from Janet Young, Principal

Welcome back to school 2012. This is a very busy term with many school functions. I hope to meet many of you at these events as the term progresses. I am very pleased to announce that I have been permanently appointed as Principal of Glenmore SHS. Ms Ganter has decided not to return to Glenmore SHS as she wishes to continue her studies in Brisbane.

School Watch

Police ask the community to watch over schools during school holidays.

School watch program is a partnership between Education Queensland, Queensland Police Service and State Government Security and aims to encourage the community to watch over schools and report suspicious activity to a central reporting number 131788.

The motto of the program is ‘Look, Listen, Report’ and is designed to educate the community to report suspicious activity to their local police station.

Police are urging residents who live near schools to report any suspicious behaviour in or on school grounds. Schools become targets during the holidays with many being the victims of willful damage, graffiti and break ins during this period.

Neighbouring residents are urged to contact their local police and report any such suspicious behavior. By taking a vested interest in nearby properties, you are also reducing the risk of offenders targeting your property.
