The Accelerated Mathematics, Science and Computer Curriculum (AMSCO) offers an accelerated curriculum for talented students entering Year 8 or enrolling in Glenmore High School as a Year 9 student. In Mathematics and Computer Science, students complete the Year 8 to 10 curriculum by the end of Year 9. Successful students have the option of starting two Senior subjects in Year 10 - Mathematics B and Information Processing and Technology. A student who excels in Science may have the opportunity to study one or more senior science subjects whilst in Year 10.
The AMSCO curriculum is based around higher order thinking skills, including critical thinking and problem solving. It will involve students working both independently and collaboratively. A rigorous application and selection process is applied.
