Get Set for Seven

13/09/2012
A group of Year 6 students visited Glenmore State High School on Thursday, 13 September, to plan and design their Year 7 classrooms and playground spaces for next year.

The students, currently enrolled at Parkhurst, Park Avenue, Frenchville, Mt Archer and The Caves state schools, all received official invitations from Glenmore SHS's Principal Janet Young to help her school prepare for its first group of Year 7s.

Glenmore State High School is one of 20 schools throughout Queensland selected to pilot Year 7 in high school in 2013, ahead of the statewide move in 2015.

Glenmore SHS is expecting to enrol more than 100 Year 7 students next year as we lead the way in this major education reform. Currently we have over 80 students enrolled for year 7 in 2013. If you have not enrolled please phone the school at your earliest convenience to set up your enrolment meeting.
