Welcome to Glenmore State High School, where we pride ourselves on our inclusive and supportive school community.

Our community is united in our daily pursuit of our school vision of “Inspiring growth, positive wellbeing and quality outcomes for all."  We pride ourselves that with a focus on a growth mindset and supporting the wellbeing on students they can pursue success.

At Glenmore, we do not define success through the narrow perspective of academics rather the broader definition that “success is peace of mind attained only through self-satisfaction and knowing you did your best to become the best you are capable of becoming" (Wooden, 2009)

We have a strong belief that all students are able to experience success when they are provided with a safe, structured learning environment with clear expectations for behaviour and attendance. We purposefully teach and reward students by the behaviour expectations that underpin our school values in every setting. These values are Respect, Responsibility and Excellence.

We pride ourselves on providing a school curriculum that caters to the interests and individual needs of every student. Offering academic pathways where students can pursue a future that includes university study, whilst also providing a range of trade pathway courses.

Parents and carers are always welcome in our school, as you play a very important role. Your active interest and involvement in your child/s high school activities greatly improve their learning experience. I invite you to come in and talk to us about our school, and how we can work together to support your child learn and achieve the pathway of their choice.

Kind Regards,

Brendan Shannon
Principal
