Dear Parents/Guardians,
The 2022 school year will commence on Monday 7 February 2022. We are excited for students and staff to be back in classrooms connecting, growing and learning together.
Despite the challenges we faced for the beginning of this year, please be assured that we are implementing highest standards of COVID-Safe measures to ensure the health and safety of our school community.
COVID Information
Face Masks: All students are required to wear a face mask whilst they are indoors unless they are seated or can maintain a 1.5m distance from others. We encourage students to bring their own mask from home, however the school will have a supply of masks if required.
Sickness: All students who are sick are asked to stay at home until they are well. Students who are at home unwell with COVID symptoms are asked to attend a local Queensland Health testing clinic, where they will be prioritised to receive a Rapid Antigen Test (RAT).
All student absences are to be reported to the absence hotline line: 07 4923 0333 and follow the prompts, or emailed to: absences@glenmoreshs.eq.edu.au.
Developing COVID symptoms while at School: If a student develops COVID symptoms while they are at school, they will be made comfortable and immediately isolated in a safe place until collected by a parent/guardian.
Upon collection of a student, parents/guardians will be provided with a Rapid Antigen Test to undertake at home. If the test result is negative and once the student is well, they can return to school. If the test is positive, the Queensland Health quarantine and isolation requirements must be followed.
If the school does not have stock of Rapid Antigen Tests (RATs), parents/guardians will be informed by administration staff, and encouraged to take the student to a Queensland Health testing clinic to receive one.
Vaccinations: The only facilities providing COVID-19 vaccinations are Queensland Health vaccination locations, your local GP, and Pharmacies. COVID-19 vaccinations are not mandated for students to receive prior to returning to school, or to access an Education Queensland site.
Getting the COVID-19 vaccine is the safest and most effective way to protect ourselves, families, and communities. Having students vaccinated will help protect them from serious illness from COVID-19, as well as help protect your families and loved ones. With the COVID-19 outbreak continuing across Queensland, we strongly encourage parents/guardians and community members to get their student/s vaccinated as soon as possible. Bookings are essential. To make a booking or find a vaccination location click the links.
During Term 1, the first round of the Student Immunisation Program will be conducted for Year 7 and 10 students. This program will be conducted onsite at school for those students who have been given parent/guardian consent. Consent forms will be distributed during the first week of school and are to be returned to the office by Friday 18 February 2022.
Immunisations offered for administration as part of this round of the Student Immunisation Program are: Year 7 – Human papillomavirus (HPV) and Diphtheria, tetanus, pertussis (whooping cough), and Year 10 – Meningococcal ACWY strains. For more information regarding the School Immunisation Program click the link.
Be Prepared
Uniforms: Students are required to be in full school uniform from Monday 7 February 2022. Uniform requirements are stipulated in the 2022 Student Dress Code.
Please note: If have yet to purchase uniforms for the year, certain sizes of the standard and sublimated polo shirts, and standard and microfibre shorts, have limited supply or are out of stock. New stock does not arrive until the end of April 2022. We recommend visiting the Uniform Shop with your student/s to find alternate sizes in these items. If this cannot be done, we recommend purchasing the formal school uniform in the interim, sourcing second-hand uniforms from various means, such as, Facebook and local thrift stores, and placing a pre-order for uniforms to secure your purchase when they arrive.
The Uniform Shop opening hours for next week are:
- Friday 4 February 2022 from 9am-2pm
- Monday 7 February 2022 from 7:45-11:45am
- Tuesday 8 February 2022 from 7:45-11:45am

Timetables: All students are asked to access OneSchool to look at their Timetable and identify which Roll Class they have been allocated for the year. This will assist them in knowing where to go on the first day of school.
- Log onto OneSchool via: https://oslp.eq.edu.au/
- Students to type in their School Logon ID and password. *If a student has forgotten their password, they can reset this here.
- If this is your student's first time logging on, they will be asked to read and accept the conditions of use.
- Once logged in, from the 'Available Reports/Letters…' drop down menu select “Student Timetable – Weekly".
- Look at 'RC' under Monday to find the Roll Class teacher code and room location.
Photo Day: Monday 14 February 2022. We remind students to be at school on this day, dressed in full school uniform and neatly groomed.
Day 1 Procedure
Students are to head directly to their allocated Roll Class at 8:55am on Monday 7 February 2022. No full school parade will be held on Monday, as per previous years.
For students who are unable to access OneSchool, Roll Class lists and room locations will be displayed in two central locations around the school.
- Junior School list location (Years 7-9): H Block near Administration building.
- Senior School list location (Years 10-12): D Block near MMC.
Should your student need any assistance in finding their Roll Class listing and room location, Student Leaders will be located in Champion Court near the tuckshop to help.
Once students arrive at their Roll Class, they will be provided with a hard copy timetable and 2022 student diary. For those students in years 7 and 10, they will also receive the Student Immunisation Program information and consent forms, as discussed above.
We kindly remind all parents/guardians to maintain physical distancing at all times, especially at drop-off and pick-up time, in the car park, the Uniform Shop and at the school gate.
