NAPLAN is a national literacy and numeracy
assessment that students in Years 3, 5, 7 and 9
sit each year. It is the only national assessment all
Australian students have the opportunity to undertake.
NAPLAN tests will be held from 15 to 27 March in 2023.
This change from Term 2 to Term 1 means that schools will have results earlier, so that the results attained can be used to inform teaching and learning plans for the remainder of the year.
NAPLAN is a nationwide measure through which parents, teachers and schools can determine how well young Australians are developing the literacy and numeracy skills that provide the critical foundation for other learning.
NAPLAN assesses skills that students are learning at school. It is not a test that can be studied for, so the best preparation is learning what we do in the classroom everyday.
Glenmore SHS puts together a Timetable to assist our year 7 and 9 students to know when they will be undertaking certain test over the two week program. This timetable can be accessed via the link under 2023 Timetable.
