Welcome to 2022! Despite the beginning of this year looking different, we are looking forward to making it great.

This year's start date for school is Monday, 7 February 2022, as you are aware.

Our School will be open for students of essential workers and vulnerable learners only from Monday, 24 January 2022. Students of essential workers are only to attend school on days that all responsible adults in the household are working in essential roles.

An essential worker is someone who provides essential services and who is unable to work from home. This includes but is not limited to doctors, nurses and other front-line medical staff, retail workers, haulage drivers and police officers.

We ask that you contact the School to inform us if your student requires school supervision during this period via phone 07 4923 0333. All students attending prior to the start of school are required to wear full school uniform. No new learning will commence during this time, and school supplies will not be required for this period.

Our tuckshop will be open for pre-orders only from Monday, 24 January 2022 for students requiring supervision. All pre-orders must be made before school at the tuckshop.

The School will have a skeleton staff onsite, as advised by the Department of Education, to protect the health and wellbeing of staff and students.

We will continue to be guided by the advice from the Department of Education and Queensland Health, therefore:

  • All parents/guardians, visitors, and contractors are required to wear face masks whilst indoors. They must adhere to standard school visitor sign-in arrangements along with the use of the Check in Qld app to enable contact tracing.
  • All staff and students are required to wear face masks while standing or moving about indoors, but may remove their mask when seated if able to maintain a 1.5 metre distance from others.
  • Any student displaying any symptoms of being unwell are not to be sent to school.
  • Any student present at school unwell will be sent home to ensure the safety of all.

Adults are kindly reminded to maintain physical distancing at all times, especially at drop-off and pick-up time, in the car park, outside classrooms and at the school gate.

Year 11 and 12 students will commence learning at home from 31 January 2022. More information to come.

All future information will be provided as soon as possible via text, email and Facebook.

Thank you for your patience and understanding at this time.
