Dear Parents/Carers,

We hope you and your family enjoyed the Easter break and are excited for another term of learning and growing at Glenmore High!

Report Cards: Our teachers are currently finalising Report Cards for our Year 7, 8, 9 and 11 students. These Report Cards will be emailed to parents/carers by the end of this week. You will also receive an email from one of our Deputy Principal's, James Lye or Nathan Shonhan, to invite you to make appointments for our upcoming Parent-Teacher Interviews on Wednesday 4 May 2022 from 2-5pm.

Parents/carers of our Year 10 and 12 students will receive an email from Deputy Principal, Nathan Shonhan, by the end of the week inviting you to make appointments at the Parent-Teacher Interviews, and to also outline our Report Card timelines for these students this year.

Our teachers can't wait to meet with our parents/carers and have constructive conversations about student achievement and responsible learning behaviours.

COVID-19 Positive and Close Contacts: If your student becomes Positive with COVID-19 or a Close Contact, please ensure you are familiar with the information and instructions provided by Queensland Health: https://www.qld.gov.au/health/conditions/health-alerts/coronavirus-covid-19/stay-informed

Please note that you are not considered as a Close Contact if you have had COVID-19 in the past 12 weeks.

It is important that you contact our administration team, as soon as possible, to inform us of your student's isolation. You can do this by either email or phone call:

Your student is able to continue to learn whilst they are at home in isolation, and well enough to do so, by accessing the Department of Education's learning@home resources: https://education.qld.gov.au/curriculum/learning-at-home

COVID-19 Vaccinations: With the COVID-19 outbreak continuing across Queensland, we strongly encourage parents/carers to get their student/s vaccinated. Getting the COVID-19 vaccine is the safest and most effective way to protect ourselves, our family, and our community.

We look forward to another excellent school term.

Yours sincerely,

Brendan Shannon
Principal
