Dear Parents and Carers,
Welcome to 2026 – a year where every minute of every lesson of everyday counts.
At Glenmore State High School, our values of Respect, Responsibility and Excellence underpin everything we do. In 2026, we continue to place a strong focus on student attendance, recognising that regular attendance is essential for academic success, well-being, and positive school connections. We ask that parents, carers, and students partner with us to prioritise being at school every day.
All student absences need to be explained by a parent/carer. This can be done by either phoning 07 4923 0333, emailing absences@glenmoreshs.eq.edu.au or responding to an absence SMS. Your support in this area plays a vital role in helping every student, reach their full potential.
Day 1 of 2026
School resumes on Tuesday 27 January 2026.
All returning and new students are to meet at the Mike Maher Centre (MMC) at 8:50am for our Welcome Parade.
Roll classes will be listed on the walls of the MMC*, allowing students to locate their roll class and roll teacher before heading inside to sit with their allocated group.
*Year 7, 8 and 9 class listings will be located on Carpark side of building.
*Year 10, 11 and 12 class listings will be located on oval side of building.
Students will receive their 2026 timetable during roll class at the conclusion of the Welcome Parade.
If you have not yet accessed the 2026 Stationary Lists, these are available by year level on our website. Please note that items required for elective subjects are not needed until Week 2 of Term 1.
